Job Title: Business Development Executive – Mining & Minerals

Human Capital HR Solutions is hiring a Business Development Executive for its client in the Steel / Mining & Minerals sector. The role is based in Karachi and requires extensive travel across Pakistan. The executive will drive strategic growth by identifying mining opportunities, managing high-stakes stakeholder relationships, and overseeing the end-to-end due diligence process to establish profitable operations and supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop a pipeline of mining and mineral opportunities, including trading, acquisitions, and Joint Ventures (JVs)
• Act as liaison with local mine owners, consultants, and government departments to ensure regulatory compliance
• Conduct risk assessments, feasibility studies, and basic financial analysis (CAPEX/OPEX, costing, profitability)
• Coordinate legal due diligence, mine titles verification, and drafting/execution of MoUs or JV agreements
• Lead site visits to remote mining locations to verify assets, mineral quality, and local conditions
• Plan and execute complex itineraries for technical teams and management during field evaluations

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Assistant Manager or managerial roles
• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Geology, or Engineering preferred)
• Prior exposure to the mining and minerals sector in Pakistan is a strong advantage
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; capable of using Google Maps / Google Earth for site assessments
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals, including profit/loss, costing, and break-even analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to work independently and manage multi-stakeholder operations

Working Conditions

• Extensive and frequent travel to mining sites across Pakistan
• Works independently with access to junior support for administrative tasks
