Business Development Executive (UK Market Support)

We are seeking a proactive, energetic, and results-oriented Business Development Executive to support our Business Development team in the UK market. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, managing lead generation activities, supporting digital marketing initiatives, and maintaining CRM data. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for sales and marketing, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Support the UK Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Research target industries, companies, and decision-makers to generate qualified leads.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn networking, and other lead-generation channels.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments between potential clients and the UK Business Development team.
  • Follow up on leads and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations, and client communication materials.

Email Marketing & Outreach

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to generate leads and increase client engagement.
  • Create and maintain prospect databases for targeted outreach activities.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports on lead generation results.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on marketing-generated leads.

Social Media Marketing Support

  • Coordinate and manage social media content schedules across relevant platforms.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing business-focused content to support brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Monitor social media engagement and identify potential business opportunities arising from online interactions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to align social media activities with business objectives.

CRM & ZOHO Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, prospects, client interactions, and opportunities within ZOHO CRM.
  • Support the team in managing sales pipelines, workflows, and reporting through ZOHO.
  • Generate CRM reports and dashboards to track lead generation and business development activities.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across CRM records.

Market Research & Opportunity Identification

  • Research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within target industries.
  • Identify potential partnerships, projects, and business prospects in the UK and international markets.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business development initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Lead Generation, Sales Support, Telemarketing, or a similar role.
  • Experience with cold calling, email marketing, and outbound prospecting techniques.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably ZOHO CRM.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to research, identify, and qualify business opportunities independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting international sales teams, preferably in the UK market.
  • Knowledge of B2B sales processes and lead nurturing techniques.
  • Experience working within the IT services, software development, or technology sector is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other lead generation tools is preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of qualified leads generated per month.
  • Number of meetings booked for the UK Business Development team.
  • Conversion rate from lead to opportunity.
  • Effectiveness of email marketing campaigns (open rates, response rates, conversions).
  • Social media engagement and lead generation contribution.
  • Accuracy and completeness of ZOHO CRM data management.
  • Monthly contribution to business development and revenue growth targets.
