Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Auto Spare Parts is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities in the automotive spare parts sector, developing client relationships, and implementing strategies to increase revenue. The role involves conducting market research, preparing sales forecasts, negotiating contracts, and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction in alignment with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the auto spare parts market (Japanese, Korean, American, and other brands).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, workshops, and fleet operators.
- Conduct detailed market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs in the auto spare parts industry.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with key clients and distributors.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure timely product availability.
- Expand the company’s distribution network in local and international markets.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis for management.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
- Ensure excellent after-sales support and customer satisfaction.
Key Performance Areas (KPA)
- Revenue Growth – Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in spare parts.
- Client Acquisition – Expand the customer base across workshops, distributors, and retail.
- Market Expansion – Identify new markets for Japanese, Korean & American spare parts.
- Relationship Management – Maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts.
- Operational Collaboration – Coordinate with internal teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 4–7 years’ proven experience in business development or sales within the auto spare parts industry.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese, Korean, and American spare parts (OEM and aftermarket).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop strategies and deliver results in competitive markets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and sales reporting tools.
- Strong networking skills with industry contacts.
