Business Development Manager

This is a high-ownership, independent role. You will be responsible for building and executing the full business development function: outreach, lead generation, proposals, follow-ups, and closing new clients for our agencies.

You will:

  • Operate with full autonomy, with no micromanagement.
  • Be measured primarily on revenue (USD) and the number of new clients acquired.
  • Be rewarded with a commission structure on top of your base salary.

If you have successfully grown revenue for digital agencies and you enjoy building systems, outreach strategies, and relationships, this role is a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition Strategy

  • Develop and own a clear business development strategy across all Brightwing agencies.
  • Define target markets, ideal client profiles, and priority segments.
  • Design and continuously refine multi-channel outreach playbooks (email, LinkedIn, events, SMS, and more).

2. Outreach and Lead Generation

  • Plan and execute cold email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, SMS campaigns, and other outbound initiatives.
  • Attend relevant events, conferences, and meetups (online or in-person) to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Build and manage prospect lists, lead databases, and outreach sequences.
  • Follow up consistently to move leads through the pipeline.

3. Proposals, Pitches and Closing

  • Prepare tailored proposals and presentations for prospects across our agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, delivery, operations) to scope solutions, pricing, and timelines.
  • Run discovery calls, qualification calls, and closing conversations with decision-makers.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals that align with our profitability and delivery capacity.

4. Revenue Ownership and KPIs

  • Own the main KPIs:
  • New revenue (USD) is generated.
  • Number of new clients acquired.
  • Build and manage a predictable pipeline to hit monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Report performance, pipeline status, and forecasts to management on a regular basis.

5. ERP and Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all leads, deals, activities, and client information in our ERP system.
  • Ensure that every stage of the funnel (lead, opportunity, proposal, closed) is fully documented.
  • Use data from the ERP to optimize your approach and highlight bottlenecks.

6. Cross-Agency Coordination

  • Understand the services, strengths, and positioning of each agency under Brightwing Holdings.
  • Match the right prospects to the right agency and craft relevant offers.
  • Provide feedback from the market to agency leaders (such as common requests, objections, and pricing feedback).

7. Brand and Relationship Building

  • Act as a frontline ambassador for Brightwing and our agencies.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients beyond the initial sale.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across our services.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business development or sales for digital agencies, such as performance marketing, creativity, software development, branding, or similar.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue and client acquisition targets.
  • Strong experience with outbound sales, including cold emails, LinkedIn campaigns, and events.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to create compelling outreach copy and proposals.
  • High level of independence and self-management. Able to plan your own week, set priorities, and execute without daily supervision.
  • Strong familiarity with CRM or ERP systems and disciplined in maintaining clean, accurate data.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, such as targets, revenue, and conversion rates, and using them to make decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience setting up or optimizing sales automations (email sequences, LinkedIn tools, SMS platforms).
  • Existing network of potential clients relevant to digital agencies.
  • Experience in multi-agency or holding company environments.
  • Understanding marketing funnels, acquisition channels, and ROI metrics.

Compensation

  • Base salary plus commission tied to:
  • New revenue is generated.
  • Number and quality of new clients acquired.
  • Potential for role expansion and increased upside as Brightwing Holdings grows.
