Business Development Manager

The Bus Dev Manager generates new sales leads, negotiates client pricing, forecasts sales revenue, and helps the company maximize their profits. The incumbent is required to create business plans and strategies, identify, secure new market shares, and develop existing business areas.


a)

Performs job duties adequately and properly; follow personnel and department policies and operating procedures; show respect, tact, and courtesy in dealings with coworkers and the general public; behave in a manner that does not obstruct or hinder other employees from completing their duties; act in a manner that is safe and follow the company’s safety procedures at all times.

b)

Researches and identifies new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.

c)

Thinks and works strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business and reach new clients.

d)

Understands the needs of customers and responds effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs.

e)

Fosters and develops relationships with customers, clients, partners, and sponsors to generate repeat business as well as find new opportunities.

f)

Develops business reports on new revenue streams, improved services, and new businesses.

g)

Leads on and supports bid-writing for new contracts where appropriate.

h)

Stays current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.

i)

Recruits, trains, coaches and managing Bus Dev teams to meet business objectives.

j)

Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by Sales & Marketing Sr Manager



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



a)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business Admin or related field … MBA preferred

b)

Experience: 14 years of progressive sales & marketing experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.

c)

Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective communication with clients, partners, colleagues, and stakeholders.

d)

Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to identify growth opportunities
