Business Development Manager-Cybersecurity Services

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager with a strong track record in selling cybersecurity services. This is not a role for generalists — we want someone who knows the threat landscape, speaks the language of CISOs and IT decision-makers, and consistently closes enterprise and mid-market deals.

You will be the tip of the spear in growing our cybersecurity client portfolio, building a pipeline from the ground up, and positioning our services as the go-to solution in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities for cybersecurity services across both offensive and defensive security domains, including but not limited to SOC-as-a-Service (SOCaaS), Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Managed Security Services (MSSP), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Consulting, and Incident Response services.
  • Build and maintain a robust, self-generated sales pipeline — not relying on inbound alone.
  • Engage C-suite and senior IT/security stakeholders (CISOs, CTOs, IT Heads) with consultative, solution-oriented selling.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies — cold outreach, networking, events, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to tailor proposals, RFP responses, and solution demos.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring favourable commercial terms and long-term relationships.
  • Track and report on pipeline health, revenue forecasts, and activity metrics using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Stay current on the cybersecurity threat landscape, emerging technologies, and competitor positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and conferences to build market presence.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional services to the existing client base in partnership with account management teams.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • 5-6 years of B2B sales experience with a focus on cybersecurity services (not just software or generic IT).
  • Demonstrated success in selling services such as: VAPT, SOC/SIEM, MSSP, Cloud Security, Compliance (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR), or Incident Response.
  • Proven ability to own a full sales cycle end-to-end — from cold prospecting to contract signature.
  • Existing network of decision-makers within enterprise or mid-market companies is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001) and threat vectors.
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate and qualify leads independently.
  • Expertise in consultative and value-based selling tailored to security and risk narratives.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and comfortable with pipeline reporting and forecasting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — able to write compelling proposals and present to boardrooms.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Certifications: any vendor sales certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, etc.).
  • Prior experience at an MSSP, cybersecurity consultancy, or a security-focused VAR/integrator.
  • Experience selling to regulated industries: BFSI, Healthcare, Government, Telecom.
  • Comfort with outbound tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, or similar.

Pay: From Rs180,000.00 per month
