BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Position Overview

The Freight Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in freight forwarding (Air, Sea & Land). This role involves identifying potential clients, pitching services, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities for import/export freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Land, and Customs Clearance).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Identify and target new customers through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Prepare and present competitive quotations, proposals, and service offerings.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with customers.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment handling.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Provide weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping (Air/Sea Freight, Land Transport, and Customs procedures).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and close deals.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken); additional languages are a plus.

  • Sales revenue achieved vs. target.
  • Number of new clients acquired.
  • Client retention rate.
  • Volume/TEUs/KGs secured.
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback.

Pay: Rs10,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
