Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and target-driven Business Development Officer (BDO) to conduct field visits in under-construction residential and commercial areas to identify and generate potential leads. The primary responsibility of this role is to collect verified contact details of property owners, contractors, builders, developers, and other decision-makers for future sales engagement.

The role requires strong communication skills, field mobility, confidence in approaching new prospects, and accurate data reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field Visits & Area Survey

  • Visit assigned under-construction residential and commercial sites daily.
  • Conduct systematic area surveys to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Map newly developing sectors, societies, and commercial zones.
  • Maintain territory coverage as per weekly/monthly plan.

2. Lead Generation

  • Collect contact details of:
  • Property owners
  • Builders & developers
  • Contractors
  • Architects
  • Site supervisors
  • Verify contact information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Record details such as project type, stage of construction, estimated budget, and decision-maker information.

3. Relationship Building

  • Introduce the company and its products/services to prospects.
  • Establish initial rapport with potential clients.
  • Identify future sales opportunities and warm leads.
  • Maintain professional conduct during all site interactions.

4. Data Management & Reporting

  • Submit daily field activity reports.
  • Maintain a structured database of leads collected.
  • Use company-provided CRM or reporting formats.
  • Ensure data accuracy and avoid duplication.
  • Provide weekly analysis of market trends observed during visits.

5. Market Intelligence

  • Identify competitor activities in construction areas.
  • Gather insights on ongoing projects and upcoming developments.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding demand trends.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of field visits per day/week.
  • Number of verified leads collected.
  • Lead conversion ratio.
  • Accuracy and quality of submitted data.
  • Timely reporting and discipline in documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum: Intermediate / Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in field sales, marketing, or lead generation (construction-related industry preferred).
  • Fresh candidates with strong field confidence may apply.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in approaching strangers professionally.
  • Basic understanding of construction projects and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Time management and route planning skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, CRM entry, reporting).
  • Honest, disciplined, and target-oriented personality.

Physical & Field Requirements

  • Must be comfortable walking and traveling extensively.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Own bike/motorcycle preferred.
  • Valid driving license.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily outdoor field-based role.
