We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer at our Zelienople, PA facility. This team member will be a part of our purchasing department and will be actively involved with our production team. This employee will report to the Strategic Supply Chain Manager.

What you’ll do

Issue purchase orders (POs) for bill of material (BOM) items in addition to shop and maintenance related expenditures.
Issue POs to vendors/suppliers for service-related work such as painting, machining, fabrication, etc.
Track PO receipts to ensure customer sales orders are shipped within agreed upon timelines as well as to achieve compliance of vendor on time delivery goals.
Obtain multiple quotes from vendor/suppliers for competitive pricing purposes.
Challenge suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing is being provided to the company.
Maintain purchase order price verification to allow accurate receipt and timely payment.
Maintain positive vendor relationships to ensure the best product quality and delivery.
Collect and maintain mill test reports (MTRs) for quality assurance and engineering requirements.

What you’ll bring

A minimum of three years of purchasing experience is required.
Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Epicor preferred.
Prior purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Proficient in MS Office products.
The ability to review and understand CAD drawings.
