As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Customer Experience Team in Doha as a Cargo Digital Support Specialist.

About the role

In this role, you will be required to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 service for the cargo department by managing all Cargo applications and coordinating with IT, vendors, and business teams. This includes first-level troubleshooting, incident management, user access provisioning, and communication of system changes or outages. The role acts as the frontline support for platforms like CROAMIS, Digital Lounge, PROS, and the Cargo Website, ensuring operational continuity and rapid issue resolution across the Qatar Airways Cargo network

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Cargo Application Implementation: Ensure new stations are fully prepared from an application standpoint before going live.
  • System Performance Oversight: Monitor, control, and report on system performance; initiate corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Reference Data Management: Maintain and update reference data across cargo applications and the QR portal to align with business needs.
  • Network Support: Assist both online and offline stations in resolving operational issues.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between IT, service providers, and internal departments to implement and support cargo-related IT systems.
  • Application Functionality Assurance: Maintain constant communication with IT to ensure all modules and applications are operational.
  • Training Oversight: Ensure staff receive appropriate training aligned with their responsibilities.
  • Customs Coordination: Work with customs to ensure timely and accurate data submission.
  • IT Solution Evaluation: Recommend optimal IT solutions to QR Management for cargo operations.
  • Staff Enablement: Ensure both outstation and HQ staff are trained and familiar with system functionalities.
  • System Enhancement: Continuously monitor and evolve systems to meet changing business requirements.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage outsourced activities and vendor relationships.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Ensure all system modules function as intended through collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Release Communication: Keep the network informed about new application releases and fixes.

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in air cargo reservation systems, Pricing & Inventory Management
  • Experience in managing IT service providers and service desk.
  • Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills
  • Project management essentials
