Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the bakery section operates smoothly. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery items.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Stock shelves and display cases with fresh bakery products while ensuring proper rotation of items.
• Assist in preparing baked goods as needed, following recipes and quality standards.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding ingredients, allergens, and product information.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
• Previous experience in a quick-service fast food restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
