Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, maintaining accurate cash handling and retail math skills
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about current promotions or new arrivals
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure proper merchandising standards to create an inviting store layout
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support inventory management through stocking, product demos, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a grocery store or retail setting
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stock shelves, and assist with product demos confidently
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage customers professionally
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and store merchandising standards
