Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Technovalley

Reporting To

Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director

Job Purpose

To lead and drive the overall marketing strategy and execution for Technovalley—ensuring alignment with the company’s vision of being a global high-technology IT consulting and skills-development organisation. The CMO will build the brand, accelerate growth in India and abroad (including Africa & Middle East), enhance lead-generation, manage the marketing team, and optimise ROI on marketing investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a holistic marketing strategy (brand, demand generation, digital, communications, partnerships) aligned with Technovalley’s positioning as not just a training institute but a global consulting-and-upskilling company.
  • Build and elevate the Technovalley brand across domestic and international markets (India, Botswana, Zambia, Qatar, etc.).
  • Lead performance marketing efforts: digital campaigns (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube), SEO/SEM, content marketing, influencer/affiliate partnerships.
  • Oversee lead-funnel development, conversion optimisation, marketing analytics, and ROI measurement.
  • Manage marketing budget, vendor/agency relationships, cross-functional collaboration with Admissions, Sales, Academic Delivery, Consulting Services, and Placement teams.
  • Launch campaigns for key programs (e.g., Python Full Stack Developer, Certified Data Scientist, Generative AI Specialist) and our corporate consulting/training services via the Advanced Consulting SBU.
  • Drive market research and insights: competitor analysis, industry trends in deep-tech, up-skilling & reskilling, emerging markets (Africa, Middle East).
  • Mentor and build a high-performing marketing team, set KPIs, foster a culture of innovation, experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and creative across all channels and markets; act as brand guardian.
  • Manage marketing for global expansions, partnerships with governments / institutions (e.g., Botswana, Zambia) and large-scale skilling initiatives.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track-record (10+ years) in senior marketing roles ideally in ed-tech, training, consulting, or global services companies.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise: performance marketing, lead generation, analytics.
  • Strategic thinker with global mindset and experience across multiple geographies.
  • Experience building and scaling brands, launching new markets or programs.
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication (written & verbal), story-telling, presentation & negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-growing companies, handling ambiguity, multiple priorities.
  • Ideally, familiarity with technology education, certifications (cybersecurity, AI/ML, data science), and consulting services.

Key Metrics / KPIs

  • Brand awareness lift in target markets.
  • Lead volume, lead quality, cost-per-lead (CPL), cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
  • Conversion rate from inquiry to enrolment/sale.
  • Return-on-ad-spend (ROAS), marketing ROI.
  • Market share or new market penetration (e.g., Africa, Middle East).
  • Team performance, time-to-market for campaigns, campaign innovation.

Working Conditions & Location

  • Based at Kochi (Edapally / Infopark) with hybrid/remote flexibility as required.
  • Occasional travel to other domestic and international markets (Botswana, Zambia, Qatar, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹61,102.21 per month
