Office/Remote: 80% Office / 20% Remote
Work Days: Sunday through Thursday
General Summary of the Position
The position of Administrative Assistant on the Lindale Campus is responsible for the behind-the-scenes support of the church and staff. The role supports the Campus Pastor, Development Pastor, and campus staff with database and room reservation, general office administration, calendaring and task processes, special events, and hospitality during office hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
Maintaining contacts and processes in Church Community Builder (database)
Schedule room reservations and coordinate room setups with facilities team
General office administration including answering phones and emails, maintaining office and printer supplies, and displaying hospitality to daytime visitors
Assist in planning and execution of special events, including church-wide functions, Pastor meetings, funerals, and weddings.
Provide administrative support to church staff when needed
Set up, attend, and take minutes for staff meetings
Assist with Sunday morning ministry as needed.
Participate in MET meetings at Tyler Church Office.
Align with the theological doctrine and core beliefs of Grace Community Church.

Education, Training, Experience:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite, with the ability to learn the church database, room reservation platform, and communication platforms
An understanding of the Christian worldview and the ability to articulate those principles to others
Work or Ministry Team Context:
This position directly supports the Campus Pastor and the Campus Development Director. It is based at the Lindale Campus and is expected to be on-site for the majority of work hours.
