Civil Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator with 3 to 8 years of experience in construction or fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and supporting the tendering process from pre-bid to post-award handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Quantity Take-Off (Priority): Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs for civil and structural works.

• BOQ & Scope of Work Review: Review BOQs, drawings, and scope of work to identify discrepancies, omissions, and risk areas prior to bidding.

• Cost Estimation & Pricing: Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis, and pricing based on project requirements, market rates, and historical data.

• Vendor / Subcontractor Engagement: Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical clarifications.

• Bid Clarifications: Prepare and respond to bid clarifications, value engineering proposals, and pre- and post-bid queries.

• Tender Documentation: Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents within stipulated timelines.

• Post-Tender Handover: Conduct proper handover of awarded projects to the project execution team, including budgets, BOQs, vendor details, and assumptions.

• Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with design, planning, and project teams to ensure estimation accuracy and completeness.

Key Skills & Requirements

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in civil estimation (construction and fit-out).

• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQs, and rate analysis.

• Familiarity with tendering procedures and contract documents.

• Experience in vendor and subcontractor coordination.

• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of estimation software is an advantage.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.

• Good communication and coordination skills

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
