We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Application Analyst – Epic Radiant to join our Digital Technology Services (DTS) team at Deaconess Health System. In this role, you will apply your expertise in radiology applications and imaging systems to support, configure, and optimize Epic Radiant and related third-party software solutions. You will help ensure that imaging workflows operate efficiently, data is integrated seamlessly, and clinical teams have the tools they need to deliver exceptional patient care.

The Clinical Application Analyst – Epic Radiant will utilize their expertise in radiology applications and imaging workflows to perform moderately complex systems administration, configuration, and applications build. This role serves as a resource for implementing technical solutions that meet customer and operational needs, supports existing third-party radiology applications, and participates in new project development and system optimization initiatives.
The Analyst will collaborate closely with DTS team members, radiology staff, radiologists, and other clinical and technical stakeholders to conceptualize system functionality, design data structures, and develop specifications that align with departmental and organizational objectives. The Analyst may also review servers supporting non-Epic clinical applications for security vulnerabilities and coordinate risk reduction activities, including Windows patching and registry updates.
The Analyst serves as a mentor to other Analysts and Clinician Analysts and will be assigned to one or more Epic modules depending on their area of expertise.
Configure, build, and maintain Epic Radiant, Sectra PACS, and other imaging-related systems to support radiology workflows and improve efficiency.
Provide support and troubleshooting for application issues, including interface and integration challenges.
Partner with radiology leadership, imaging technologists, and physicians to evaluate needs and implement technology solutions that enhance performance and user experience.
Collaborate with DTS Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable, and compliant system operations.
Participate in new project planning, implementation, testing, and optimization for Epic Radiant and third-party radiology systems.
Perform application server patching, registry updates, and other activities to maintain system security and reliability.
Document workflows, system changes, and standard operating procedures.
Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for other DTS Analysts.
Maintain compliance with organizational, technical, and regulatory requirements.
Education
Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Radiologic Science, or a related field — Required
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field — Preferred
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Radiology Information Systems (RIS), PACS, or clinical applications — Required
Experience with Epic Radiant, Epic Bridges, or Sectra PACS — Preferred
Understanding of radiology workflows, imaging modalities, and healthcare integration standards (DICOM, HL7).
Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when working with radiologists, clinicians, and technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
Working knowledge of system security, patch management, and integration processes.
Licenses/Certifications
Epic Radiant Certification or Proficiency — Required within 6 months of hire
ARRT Certification or equivalent radiology credential — Preferred
