Clinical Data Specialist

Key Responsibilities


  • Review, annotate, and label clinical and RCM-related datasets according to guidelines.
  • Apply clinical and insurance knowledge to interpret medical records and billing data.
  • Validate data quality, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical, data science, QA, and operations teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation of annotation decisions.
  • Support reporting and basic analysis using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adapt to changing guidelines and project requirements.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Biotechnology, Medicine, or related field (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured medical data.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist or in a clinical role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical insurance or Revenue Cycle Management (coding, claims, prior authorizations, denials, or utilization review) is a strong plus.
  • Prior exposure to clinical data annotation or auditing is advantageous.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in a clinical or healthcare field.
  • Masters's degree in Data Science or Data Labelling.
