Coal Furnace Operator

Position Summary:
Responsible for operating and maintaining coal-fired furnaces to ensure efficient combustion and heat supply for plant processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate coal furnaces according to set parameters for temperature and pressure.
• Monitor fuel feed, ash removal, and furnace conditions.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of furnace and related systems.
• Check and adjust air-fuel ratios for optimal combustion.
• Record operational readings and report deviations.
• Follow safety procedures related to handling coal, ash, and high-temperature equipment.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Thermal Power, or related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in coal-fired furnace or boiler operations.
• Knowledge of combustion principles, furnace maintenance, and safety practices.
• Ability to work in high-temperature and dusty environments.
