Content Creator

Our CPG client is looking for a motivated, hyper-creative self-starter who lives and breathes short-form content to join their team on a 12-month contract. This position is 35 hours a week and fully remote. You may be required to travel once a quarter to the client's office.

Role Summary: 

This role is all about producing engaging video and static creative for TikTok and Instagram for a well-known frozen food brand. The ideal candidate is confident both on-camera and behind the lens, skilled in digital-first graphic design, and obsessed with emerging trends, cultural moments, and the fast-moving world of Gen Z and millennial social behavior.

Duties of the Content Creator:
Social Listening - Monitor conversations and trends across platforms to identify opportunities for timely, relevant content that boosts brand engagement and cultural relevance.
Develop & Pitch Creative Ideas - Concept and present innovative ideas for static design and lo-fi lifestyle video content that align with brand strategy and resonate with TikTok and Instagram audiences.
End-to-End Content Creation - Design, film, edit, and write copy for all social content. Some assets may be adapted for paid campaigns, so familiarity with paid social creative best practices is a plus.
On-Camera Performance - Serve as on-camera talent when needed, bringing energy, humor, and authenticity to each piece of content.
Analyze & Optimize Performance - Track performance metrics and recommend ongoing optimizations to drive growth in engagement, reach, and follower count.
Trend Awareness - Stay ahead of emerging formats, audio trends, and platform shifts to keep content fresh and relevant.
Collaboration - Work closely with the social media strategist and community manager to bring social-led ideas to life and ensure cohesive execution.

Requirements of the Content Creator:
Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation and/or social media management for a brand or organization.
Strong creative instincts with a portfolio that reflects brand-aligned storytelling and distinctive visual style.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and stay tapped into culture.
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva Pro, InShot, CapCut, and core social platforms (Instagram, TikTok).
Solid video editing skills and understanding of short-form content best practices.
Ability to interpret data and extract insights to inform creative decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
A genuine passion for food and comfort preparing frozen products for content creation.
Familiarity with paid social formats, performance metrics, and creative optimization is highly preferred.
Food styling experience is a plus.
