Career Summary:

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire a dedicated and high-performing Data and Quality Analyst.

The Data and Quality Analyst supports the quality leadership team and ANCC department directors to plan, develop, organize, and execute quality management, customer support initiatives, and supports process improvement. Under the leadership of the INR&QM director, the Data and Quality Analyst operationalizes the ANCC Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring its effectiveness in meeting the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.

The Data and Quality Analyst supports the process of maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for all ANCC credentialing programs and builds strong relationships with departments to support continual quality improvement initiatives in ANCC and across the American Nurses Enterprise. The Data and Quality Analyst coordinates external and internal audit processes related to ANCC’s QMS, including closely supporting a team of internal auditors for ANCC’s internal accountability process (IAP), and manages SharePoint document management systems (INR&QM Pulse intranet pages) for ANCC and the ANE as applicable. The Data and Quality Analyst demonstrates and promotes the Enterprise vision, mission, and values.

What You Will Do:

Quality Management System (QMS) – ISO 9001:2015
  • Operationalizes ANCC’s Quality Management System (QMS) including the process of maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for all credentialing programs.
  • Serves as internal subject matter expert in ISO 9001:2015 standards and external/internal audit processes.
  • Trends compliance with ISO standards and provides regular reports to executive leadership through regularly scheduled and ad hoc management review meetings.
  • Works collaboratively with department directors and staff to trend data, identify areas of noncompliance and/or opportunities for improvement, and develops strategies to address areas that may be subject to better performance.
  • Monitors resolution of noncompliance resulting from negative audit findings or department-identified issues.
  • Conducts planned interval department quality audits. Orients new staff to the QMS and applicable ISO standards.
  • Trains staff on the Quality Management System Repository (Q9-QMS) and maintains/updates all quality-related documents in the system.
  • Ensures annual vendor evaluation of external providers. Recruits, trains and mentors a team of internal auditors. Develops internal audit plans/schedule. Serves as member of the internal audit team and quality advocates team and conducts scheduled internal audits. Reviews and disseminates internal audit reports to ANCC leadership.

Quality Improvement and Customer Support
  • In collaboration with the Nursing Research team, develops and executes internal and external customer satisfaction surveys including but not limited to: ANCC surveys to meet ISO standards; ANE surveys to evaluate support departments and their activities (such as appraiser processes); and ANE surveys to assess department-level collaboration. Analyzes data and prepares reports for executive leadership.
  • Supports quality improvement and customer support initiatives within the ANE to support promoting ANE values and strategic goals (for example, use of RASCI, communications plans, program evaluation, or similar).

Education

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent specialized work experience required.


Related Skills, Interests and Work Experience

  • 6+ years relevant quality experience, preferably in ISO 9001:2015.
  • Progressive experience in coordinating complex projects and concurrent task coordination.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong technology proficiency.
  • Applies meticulous attention to detail and advanced technical skills to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Uses precision and a strong aptitude for leveraging technology effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively in training and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively to support training and resolve issues.
  • Skilled at relating to others to facilitate learning and address challenges constructively.
  • Progressive experience in gathering information and data (including developing tools for this purpose), and with developing appropriate action plans and approaches to address.

  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft office products.


Preferred Skills & Experience (not required to meet minimum qualifications)

The most ideal candidate for this position is likely to have ONE (1) of the following credentials related to quality management or project management:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor – Quality management systems auditing skills.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Implementer – Building and managing a quality management system.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • ISO 22301:2019 Lead Auditor – Business continuity management systems auditing
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner
