POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Specialist reports to the Sales Enablement Manager and is responsible for cleansing our CRM data, customizing it and enriching the data to deliver go-to-market-ready data that’s usable for Sales and Marketing. You will be connecting customer data points from multiple systems with Salesforce.com data. You will perform daily data cleansing by enhancing existing dealership data records and adding new dealership data records. This role requires proficiency in Salesforce.com and experience with Microsoft Excel data conversions. You will extract contact and company information from external web sites while validating accuracy, and implementing precise, actionable data in Salesforce.com. You will audit various data sources and perform data hygiene, updating incorrect data, managing duplicates, and ensuring data cleansing occurs daily to improve the integrity of our data.
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, proficient at internet research and accustomed to the routine nature of daily data cleansing tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Update existing Salesforce.com Data Records and add new data records using 3rd party data sources.
  • Enrich our Salesforce.com Database to assist with Marketing and Prospecting activities
  • Collaborate with resources from several functions across multiple teams to review, cleanse and prepare data for migration.
  • Document and track data quality issues – missing data, incorrect values, stale values, duplicate data.
  • Update incorrect data as needed both in mass and individual updates as required.
  • Track and report progress towards milestones, such as overall goal of completing data preparation / migration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data alignment across internal systems
  • Partner closely with the sales and marketing organizations for database management alignment
  • Manual research to enrich data via data sources like LinkedIn, Dealership & OEM Websites, Google search and other business intelligence and data platforms,
  • Validate data against available industry information on sites like Wards Dealer, Automotive News, Digital Dealer, fill-in in missing data points like buy sells, contact information and OEM Brands.
  • Access internal databases like DealTracker to match data for Salesforce.com
  • Continual data cleansing and updates to ensure integrity between systems
  • Requires HEAVY Excel (Formulas like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) experience for data validation and report comparison.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or sales
  • 2-4 years’ successful data hygiene experience, preferably within SASS software
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM Tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards; substantial time is spent working on a computer.
This is an office-based role with travel requirements for training or company meetings on a quarterly to semi-annual basis.
