Day Camp Counselor

Join our vibrant summer team as a Day Camp Counselor, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children during their summer days. Duties

• Supervise groups of children, ensuring their safety and active participation in camp activities
• Lead a variety of engaging programs including sports, and outdoor games to promote physical activity.
• Manage behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns using certified first aid skills
• Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules, set up activities, and maintain a lively camp atmosphere

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles
• Strong communication skills to effectively work with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to lead activities related to sports coaching
• Passion for working with children and fostering a positive, inclusive environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and diverse group needs throughout the camp season
