Summer Camp Counselor

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers. You will be responsible for supervising activities, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring that each child has an unforgettable experience while promoting personal growth and teamwork.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Lead activities assigned by the Camp Director, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and nature exploration.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive camp experience.
• Assist in the development of age-appropriate programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
• Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and respect among campers through group activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

• Experience working with students or children in various settings such as daycare, babysitting, or special education.
• Strong behavior management skills to handle diverse group dynamics effectively.
• Knowledge of first aid practices to ensure camper safety.
• Background in sports coaching or recreational leadership is a plus.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques can enhance the camp experience for all participants.

This job is for 6 weeks over the Summer Starting June 1st (orientation/training the week before). Camp is closed the week of July 4th!

Paid per camper in your specialty group. - Average of 650-1000$ per week. Message for more details!

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
