Dental Insurance Coordinator

Hello! We are a small private dental office located in Japantown of SF. Our insurance coordinator who has worked with us for many years is retiring, so we are looking for a motivated, reliable and committed person to join our team as insurance coordinator!

As an insurance coordinator, your duties include:

  • Verifying the patient’s dental insurance benefits and explaining them to the patient
  • Entering data using dental practice management software
  • Posting payments made by patients
  • Following up on non-paid insurance claims
  • Managing late payments and overdue accounts
  • Processing insurance payments and refunds
  • Monitoring reports routinely to confirm payments from clients and insurance

Pay: Our current coordinator’s hourly is $40+/hr; the exact rate will be determined based on your experience

Job Type: part-time (flexible)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school degree; additional education or qualification would be a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience as a dental insurance coordinator
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance billing codes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, etc)
  • Experience in SoftDent Dental Management Software is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
