Dental Receptionist

Job Summary

We’re excited to welcome a warm, organized, and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to our team!

Our current (and much-loved) receptionist is stepping into an exciting new chapter—spending more time at home with her newest addition—so we’re looking for someone special to fill her shoes and become the friendly face of our office.

About our office:
We’ve recently transitioned to a modern, cloud-based dental software system. Even experienced dental professionals may not be familiar with it—so everyone starts on a level playing field, and we’ll make sure you feel confident using it.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk in
  • Schedule appointments using Archy to ensure optimal clinic flow
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy, including collecting co-pays and updating medical records
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Maintain organized dental and medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans and ensure timely appointment scheduling

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and office management procedures
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software Archy is a plus
  • Experience with insurance verification
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional phone manner and ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes
