Deputy Editor, Cosmopolitan Middle East

ITP Media Group is looking for a dynamic and culturally fluent Deputy Editor to help shape and drive Cosmopolitan Middle East, the region’s leading voice for Gen Z and young millennial women. This role supports the editorial leadership in defining and executing Cosmo’s content strategy across digital, print, video, and social platforms, ensuring the brand remains bold, inclusive, trend-led, and deeply connected to youth culture in the Middle East.

The ideal candidate is a digitally native editor with a sharp instinct for social trends, pop culture, fashion, beauty, wellness, relationships, and identity. They understand how Gen Z consumes content, are plugged into the creator economy, and can translate global cultural moments into locally relevant storytelling. This role requires both creative vision and hands-on execution, as well as the confidence to represent the brand publicly when needed.

Requirements

Editorial Strategy & Vision

• Support the editorial leadership in shaping the overall editorial direction of Cosmopolitan Middle East across digital, print, video, and social.
• Help develop a bold, youth-driven editorial calendar aligned with Cosmopolitan’s global DNA and tailored to Middle East audiences.
• Ensure content is socially relevant, inclusive, trend-aware, and culturally resonant.

Content Creation & Oversight

• Oversee ideation, commissioning, editing, and publishing of high-quality fashion, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and culture content.
• Drive social-first, platform-native storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Collaborate with writers, stylists, photographers, creators, and digital talent on shoots, series, and franchise content.

Talent, Culture & Community Access

• Build and maintain strong relationships with creators, influencers, public figures, PR agencies, and youth-focused brands.
• Secure interviews, exclusives, event access, and culturally relevant collaborations.
• Act as a visible ambassador for Cosmopolitan Middle East across industry events, social platforms, and media moments.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Support and mentor editors, writers, and digital producers, fostering a collaborative and fast-paced editorial environment.
• Work closely with social, video, commercial, and marketing teams to deliver culturally relevant and commercially effective content.
• Help maintain a creative, inclusive, and performance-driven team culture.

Audience & Platform Growth

• Use performance data and social insights to inform content decisions and optimize reach and engagement.
• Experiment with new formats, franchises, and storytelling styles to grow audience and community.
• Apply SEO, platform best practices, and trend-led strategies to maximize visibility and relevance.

Commercial & Branded Content

• Collaborate with commercial teams on branded content that aligns with Cosmopolitan’s tone, values, and Gen Z sensibility.
• Help shape editorial input for client pitches, campaigns, and sponsored projects.
• Balance creative integrity with commercial objectives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Audience growth and engagement across Cosmopolitan Middle East platforms.
• Performance of social-first and video content.
• Attend and host events to continue to build Cosmopolitan’s authority in market, brand relevance and visibility within youth culture and regional media.
• Quality, consistency, and cultural relevance of editorial output.
• Branded content performance and client satisfaction.
• Editorial team development and collaboration.

• Confident and comfortable on camera for social and video content.
