Job Summary:
The Deputy Manager – Production (Pipes) is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations related to pipe production, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and safety. This role supports the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes, especially in areas like extrusion, molding, or welding, depending on pipe type (e.g., PVC, HDPE, GI, steel).
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Control:
- Assist in planning daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure efficient utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
- Monitor production targets and take corrective actions to meet delivery timelines.
- Operations Management:
- Supervise pipe production processes (e.g., extrusion, molding, welding, threading, or coating).
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Ensure timely changeovers, tool setups, and line startups.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team to implement corrective actions for any non-conformities.
- People Management:
- Lead and manage a team of operators, technicians, and shift supervisors.
- Conduct training and skill development for production staff.
- Ensure compliance with labor and safety regulations.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Implement and ensure compliance with safety protocols on the shop floor.
- Promote and maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
- Suggest improvements in machine efficiency, energy savings, and scrap reduction.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of pipe manufacturing processes (PVC/HDPE/Steel/etc.)
- Knowledge of extrusion, molding, or welding machines.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- 6–10 years of experience in pipe manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/lead role.
Preferred Certifications:
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above)
- Safety training (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.)

Pay: Up to Rs200,000.00 per month
