Designer and Estimator – Joinery

Will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and accurate material and cost estimates for custom joinery and interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical drawing skills, a solid understanding of joinery production methods, and the ability to translate design concepts into practical and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out works using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Develop cutting lists, material schedules, and joinery details based on design and production requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawings align with architectural and MEP layouts.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations based on project specifications and materials.
• Analyze client drawings, specifications, and design intent to identify potential cost savings or technical issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams to obtain accurate pricing and material availability.
• Ensure that all designs comply with production standards, site conditions, and safety codes.
• Maintain organized drawing records, revisions, and estimation files for ongoing and completed projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in joinery design and estimation within the UAE construction or interior fit-out industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software; knowledge of 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Revit, etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, furniture construction methods, and production processes.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and site measurements accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with bespoke joinery or luxury interior projects.
• Familiarity with UAE market pricing, materials, and suppliers.
• Strong coordination and teamwork abilities across design, estimation, and site teams.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
