Digital Center Testing Head

Description


JOB PURPOSE

Overseeing all testing activities related to the development of digital banking mobile and web applications, along with implementing the best-in-class testing practices to ensure that all banking solutions are secure, reliable, and comply with regulatory standards.

Description

1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing roadmap covering functional, regression, performance, security, and automation testing.

2. Collaborate with development, product management, and compliance teams to ensure testing strategies align with product release timelines, regulatory requirements, and DDC goals.

3. Assess and continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools, with a specific focus on the financial industry.

4. Implement and advocate for automation in testing to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors, especially in compliance-related testing.

5. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all functional and non-functional requirements.

6. Monitor and evaluate testing progress, metrics, and results to ensure timely delivery of quality products

7. Drive the adoption of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for automated testing pipelines.

8. Identify and mitigate risks related to software defects, performance issues, and regulatory non-compliance

9. Ensure all digital banking solutions comply with data security standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).

10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, quality, and coverage.

11. Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, technologies, and processes to optimize the testing environment

Strategy

12. Participate in the formulation and implementation of the DDC Department strategy to ensure the alignment with CIB strategy.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

13. Participate and recommend improvements to policies, processes and procedures and manage their implementation to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Day-to-day management

14. Supervise the day-to-day operations of DDC team providing some guidance in the related area, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards

Supervision

15. Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures

Compliance

16. Ensure compliance with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks


Qualifications


Qualifications & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

 Proven experience in a senior testing or QA role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position in an enterprise organization preferably in the financial or banking sector.

 Extensive experience with various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), specifically in digital banking applications.

 Strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on security, performance, and compliance.

 Strong background in API testing & Digital platforms testing

 Experience with test management and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Xray, Appium).

 Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, specifically in the financial industry.

 Excellent leadership and team management skills.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on financial data security.

 Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

 Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially in a regulated environment.
