Role Overview
Role Overview: Lead and execute the end-to-end ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth, profitability, and innovation across all GMG brands DotCom, aligning with overarching business objectives. Oversee commercial functions to ensure optimized performance across sales, inventory, digital experience, and fulfillment, while partnering with key stakeholders to deliver on strategic goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the ecommerce strategy in alignment with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the ecommerce space.
- Create and execute strategic plans for each ecommerce brand, outlining clear objectives, milestones, and KPIs.
- Oversee the sales and margin of the ecommerce brands, monitoring performance, and taking proactive measures to achieve revenue, profitability and bottom line targets.
- Monitor overall P&L health, working with brand stakeholders to provide regular updates and forecasts.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify areas for growth and profitability improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting revenue and KPIs accurately, presenting to senior leadership as required.
- Utilize analytics tools and platforms to gather insights, measure performance, and track key metrics, such as conversion rates, average order value, GPV on a daily basis.
- Regularly conduct adhoc analysis, seeking to deeper understand and solve any issues.
- Analyse onsite customer experience, reviewing conversion funnel on weekly basis to identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive implementation of new features, seeking relevant approvals to move forward with contracts and development in line with brand requirements.
- Ensure VM is commercial and meets brand stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure pricing is aligned with retail and promotions are aligned with brand stakeholders.
- Forecast and budget omni / warehouse splits based on previous data and upcoming strategy, presenting for signoff as required.
- Coordinate stakeholders to align on store level targets.
- Drive new initiatives such as Endless Aisle rollout and cross brand fulfilment.
- Partner with warehouse and operation teams to implement strategies to reduce rejection rates where relevant.
- Ensure inventory and size health is reviewed across regions and implement solutions to close any gaps.
- Ensure products and seasons are launched on time.
- Guide team on closeout / product lifecycle strategy ensuring only relevant products are traded to deliver sales and margin targets.
- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing ecommerce team, providing clear direction and setting performance expectations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging professional development and growth opportunities for team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and expertise.
