About the Role
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing kitchen utensils and equipment, maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen areas, and supporting food and beverage operations. This role ensures that all dishware, kitchen tools, and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained according to health, safety, and brand standards.
Responsibilities

Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen utensils in accordance with sanitation guidelines and company standards.

Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and pot-washing area at all times.

Ensure kitchen floors, walls, and equipment, including mixers, boilers, and steam-jacketed kettles are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house floors and restrooms before opening and throughout the day as needed.

Keep walk-in coolers clean and organized.

Empty garbage and recycling throughout the day and ensure all waste is removed at closing.

Close the workstation properly at the end of each shift, ensuring the area is free of debris, waste, and standing water.

Assist with receiving food and beverage deliveries and restock/store food products according to FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines.

Support the culinary team with basic food preparation when other assigned duties are complete.

Coordinate with the Food & Beverage Director, Sous Chef, or Supervisor regarding work priorities and assist with additional duties as requested by management.

Attend departmental meetings as required.

Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively while maintaining floor cleanliness and overall work area safety.

Demonstrate knowledge of property safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests.

Follow directions carefully with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

Work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining the ability to perform tasks independently.

Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Experience/Education

Previous dishwashing or kitchen utility experience preferred but not required.

No formal education required; High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, kneel, squat, bend, and move throughout the shift as required.

This position requires an understanding that the hospitality industry operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
