Key Responsibilities
A Dispatch and Logistics Officer typically:
- Plan and coordinate deliveries
- Schedule shipments and assign drivers or transport resources
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods
- Monitor transportation operations
- Track vehicles, shipments, and delivery status
- Resolve delays or route issues in real time
- Manage inventory and documentation
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and delivery notes
- Ensure proper handling of goods and stock levels
- Communicate with stakeholders
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, suppliers, and customers
- Provide updates on delivery status and resolve complaints
- Ensure compliance and safety
- Follow company policies and local transport regulations
- Ensure proper loading, handling, and documentation of goods
- Optimize logistics processes
- Improve routing, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
- Analyze delivery performance and suggest improvements
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Experience in transportation, warehousing, or logistics operations (often 1–3 years)
- Familiarity with local transportation regulations (especially important in regions like the UAE)
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per hour
