Job description

A Canadian Based Logistics Company is looking for a candidate for the position of Dispatch Coordinator (Night Shift 05:00PM- 02:00AM) in their office operating from Rawalpindi.

Qualifications:

· Exceptional communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization, both oral and written.

· Able to work efficiently as a part of the team as well as individually in high pressure situations.

· High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.

· Coordinate and plan with department peers to dispatch the company’s resources effectively and efficiently and strong work ethic with positive team attitude.

· Maintain communication with all team members and ensure that they are where they are supposed to be, and they are returning to the base in a timely manner.

· Enter, manage, and dispatch all orders with dispatch Software.

· Track shipments from pick-up through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment, update on the transportation system.

· Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers, arrange appointments and scheduling and handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

· Negotiate rates directly with customers and vendors.

· Preparing dispatch related paperwork, manage Customs documents and records.

· Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.

· Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to carriers.

· Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

· Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information.

· To perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

1 year of Call Centre/dispatch experience is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects.

Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) is essential with an ability to quickly learn new software.

Should be comfortable with night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business leads by researching and identifying potential clients in the freight industry (road, sea, and air).
  • Set appointments with prospective clients to introduce our supply chain and freight services.
  • Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of leads and support the sales process.
  • Coordinate and manage sales schedules, meetings, and follow-ups with clients.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with client information, leads, and sales progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new business and promote services.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent English Verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and set appointments.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
