Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and vehicle operation will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers and roll-off trucks, to transport bulk materials such as gravel, debris, or construction supplies
• Load and unload freight accurately using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries across multiple sites
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks before and after trips, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain detailed logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo weight, and delivery records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial driving environment
• Familiarity with manual transmission truck operation and tractor-trailer handling techniques
• Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or freight trucks preferred
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and load & unload procedures in various settings
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts for loading/unloading cargo safely
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for dump trucks and specialized trailers
• Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and accident prevention in a fast-paced environment
