Electrical Site Engineer

The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and supervising all electrical works at site for high-rise construction projects. The role ensures installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in accordance with design specifications, international standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide expert supervision of MV/LV power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, BTD, standby generation, and UPS installations.
• Coordinate and ensure seamless integration of lighting, ELV systems, fire alarm, PA, access control, CCTV, BMS, and other building services within the project scope.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and related works.
• Review and approve electrical design drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, material submittals, method statements, vendor technical documents, and FAT/SAT reports.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and other MEP disciplines to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance for quality, safety, and adherence to schedule.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering support.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety standards and regulations on site.
• Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, performance verification, and final handover, ensuring all systems meet functional and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (NEC, IEC, BS, NFPA, etc.) and local regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Site Engineer in high-rise construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including MV, LV, ELV, and emergency power systems.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, BS, etc.).
• Proficiency in latest Construction software like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office; knowledge of BIM tools is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage site activities under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Age Limit: 30 – 40 years
• Experience: Mandatory 5+ years (High-rise construction projects)
• Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/ DAE Professional
• Salary: PKR 100,000 plus Food & Accommodation
