Job Overview

The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the factory, with a specialized focus on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in the production lines and the facility's power generation systems (generators). This role involves leading, planning, and supervising a team of electricians and technicians to ensure continuous production, compliance with all safety regulations, and optimal performance of all electrical assets.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of the electrical team, providing technical guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high-quality work and productivity.

· PLC Management:

o Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming (basic modifications/interpretations) of PLCs and associated control systems used in the foam mattress manufacturing process.

o Collaborate with the production department and engineers to resolve automation and control system issues quickly to minimize downtime.

· Generator Operations & Maintenance:

o Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of the company's generators and associated switchgear/control equipment to ensure reliable power generation and distribution within the plant.

o Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and testing of power generation equipment and participate in major equipment shutdowns/turnarounds.

· Maintenance & Repair: Plan and oversee routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks for all electrical systems, including motors, wiring, lighting, and control panels, to ensure optimal performance.

· Safety & Compliance:

o Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to national/local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.

o Conduct regular safety inspections, deliver safety talks/training, identify potential hazards, and implement robust mitigation strategies.

· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems and system malfunctions efficiently to prevent production disruptions.

· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, electrical schematics, inventory use, and inspection reports.

· Collaboration & Resource Management: Coordinate with other departments, manage budgets for electrical expenditures and supplies, and assist with the procurement of materials and new equipment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Experience: Proven work experience (2 to 5 years) as an Electrical Supervisor or a similar role in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

· Technical Skills:

o In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electrical codes, and safety regulations.

o Hands-on experience with PLCs (troubleshooting, basic programming interpretation) and generator maintenance is essential.

o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

o Proficiency in using a variety of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

· Soft Skills:

o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

o Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

· Certifications: Possession of a valid Electrician's License or relevant professional certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
