Job Description
Employee Relations Coordinator

To provide administrative support for Employee Relations and handle employee requests and queries to ensure efficient and effective on-site employee services. Act as a focal point for receiving and processing ER requests as assigned while maintaining an effective tracking and filing system for employee details, records and claims.


Qualifications:

Educational Qualification Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

Work Experience Required:
5 years of experience in Human Resources department, preferably in HR Services / Employee Relations.

Work Experience Preferred:
Experience in Petrochemical Industry.


Job Requirements (but not limited to):

  • Proven experience working in a busy HR department.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to handle internal clients/employees.
  • Orientation to detail and resourceful mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations.
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors and ERP applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with various HR queries from employees and the business, process and/or route them as appropriate for action.
  • Provide advice to employees on ER matters including allowances and benefits for employees and dependents, medical insurance and related HC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and files – soft and hard copies – ensure availability of up-to-date employee and dependent documents in the employee files/HR Systems.
  • Use HR information systems (SuccessFactors and SAP) to access, input and compile data, raise and review employee claims and ensure they are accurately booked and approved for processing.
  • Prepare and issue employee letters and ensure they are delivered as per agreed KPI.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance day-to-day ER services and submit proposals to the Head.
  • Help manage staff relationships, issues and grievances and advise on appropriate handling process as per the policy.
  • Identify and report any gaps in HC procedures and policies and escalate to Supervisor for advice and resolution in coordination with other sections.
  • Support investigations on grievances and disciplinary as may be assigned.
  • Act as the focal point/designated representative within the assigned business area/location on ER matters.
