What you get to do:

Assist with planning, construction and installation of elements designed.

Render drawings, illustrations, model design concepts, and present for approval.

Read and prepare working drawings and/or construction documents including plans, elevations, and color elevations, etc. of scenery, signs, and properties to be constructed.

Create full size print ready art for production of signs or printed elements.

Meets assigned deadlines for each phase of a project and keeps supervisor informed of changes to the deadline.

Work in the sign shop laying vinyl, prepping substrates, running printers, and fabricating signs and printed elements.

Install signage and print elements throughout parks.

Attend or coordinate production meetings, as needed.

Develops and follows style guides and DNA sheets as a brand steward.

Other duties as assigned by leadership.
What it takes to succeed:

Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Acrobat Professional.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ability to work on a PC and Mac.

Have strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work well on a team and accept feedback from others.

Be comfortable working under deadline situations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, late evenings to support tasks.

Ability to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language and individuals with special needs.
What else is important:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One year or more of experience in sign design, graphic design or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat
-
Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business need to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations.
Compensation: $17.25 per hour
