Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Mentor for the PSDF Project to provide hands-on mentoring and support to trainees, leveraging practical industry experience in entrepreneurship and business operations. The Mentor plays a pivotal role in improving trainees' employability and business acumen by conducting structured sessions that emphasize real-world business practices and career readiness. This position requires delivering at least six hours of mentoring per week over sixteen weeks, guiding participants through entrepreneurship, freelancing, and job preparedness. The mentor contributes actively to the development of soft skills such as communication, professionalism, and teamwork, while carefully monitoring progress and offering constructive feedback.

The role demands close collaboration with instructors and management to ensure the effectiveness of the program and adherence to PSDF guidelines and reporting standards. Candidates must own and operate an active business, bringing firsthand entrepreneurial experience essential for guiding trainees in business idea development and execution. A background in business or management education is preferred, complemented by at least two years of professional experience. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong stakeholder engagement, quality assurance capabilities, and the ability to document mentoring activities comprehensively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mentoring sessions focusing on practical business knowledge and career development strategies.
  • Share insights and experiences from operating a functional business to enhance trainees understanding of entrepreneurship.
  • Guide trainees in developing entrepreneurial skills, freelancing capabilities, and preparing for employment opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess trainee progress regularly, providing timely and actionable feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support trainees in cultivating soft skills including effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of business ideas or projects undertaken by trainees when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of mentoring sessions and trainee development to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate effectively with instructors and program management to enhance overall program delivery and impact.
  • Ensure all mentoring activities comply with PSDF guidelines and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Utilize training and development principles, curriculum design strategies, and learning management systems to optimize mentoring effectiveness.
  • Apply instructional design methods such as the ADDIE model to structure mentoring content and evaluation processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders responsibly to align mentoring objectives with program goals and industry needs.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to uphold high standards in training delivery and trainee outcomes.
  • Perform training needs analysis to tailor mentoring approaches that address specific gaps and opportunities for learners.
