Equity Research Analyst

Location: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and driven Equity Research Analyst to conduct in-depth research on companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The role involves financial analysis, industry research, and building investment insights across sectors such as cement, chemicals, energy, and banking.

This position is ideal for candidates with a background in Accounting, Finance, or Economics who want to build a career in stock market research and investment analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Build and maintain financial models (Excel-based)
• Evaluate company performance using:
• Profitability ratios (ROA, ROE, margins)
• Liquidity and leverage ratios
• Conduct sector analysis (e.g., cement, chemicals, textiles)
• Identify investment opportunities and risks
• Track macroeconomic indicators (interest rates, inflation, currency trends)
• Prepare research reports and investment summaries
• Monitor insider activity, corporate announcements, and market trends

What We’re Looking For Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Accounting
• Finance
• Economics
• Stats
• Maths
• (ACCA/CA Inter candidates are encouraged to apply)

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Basic knowledge of:
• Valuation (P/E, EV/EBITDA, DCF basics)
• Cash flow analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to connect business activity → financial impact
• Understanding of industry cycles (e.g., textile demand, cement demand)
• Ability to identify red flags in financials

Soft Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
• Curious mindset with independent thinking

Location Requirement (Strict)

Applicants must be currently based in KPK, preferably in:

• Peshawar
• Mardan
• Swabi

(Applications from outside KPK will not be considered)

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

• Prior experience analyzing companies listed on PSX
• Familiarity with sectors like:
• Cement
• Chemicals
• Energy
• Experience using financial data platforms (e.g., PSX, annual reports)
• Interest in long-term investing and equity markets

Selection Process

• Initial screening interview
• Technical interview (financial analysis + case study)
• Practical assignment (company analysis)

Pay: From Rs40,000.00 per month
