Estimation Engineer

Overview: Kinetics Group is seeking an Estimation Engineer – Sheet Metal & HVAC to prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical/commercial quotations for HVAC ductwork and sheet metal works. The role focuses on competitive pricing, cost analysis, and supporting tender submissions. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to read AutoCAD drawings, and experience coordinating with project and procurement teams to deliver accurate, practical estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents for HVAC and sheet metal works
• Prepare detailed and accurate quantity take-offs for ducting, cladding, louvers, attenuators, and related items
• Interpret AutoCAD drawings to extract scope, dimensions, and technical requirements for estimation
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, fabrication, installation, and logistics
• Develop technical and commercial quotations in line with project requirements and tender conditions
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, design, and project teams to obtain pricing and technical inputs
• Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and variation/claim costing when required

Skills Attributes Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC / sheet metal estimation
• Strong ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs
• Understanding of HVAC materials and fabrication processes
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple assignments within defined timelines
