Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and supporting the overall financial planning of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards and profitability. Duties

• Prepare detailed construction and mitigation estimates using Xactimate.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate terms to secure optimal deals.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and profit margins.
• Conduct site visits to assess construction conditions, verify quantities, and refine cost estimates based on real-world conditions.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets; implement cost control measures as needed.
• Work with insurance adjusters to reach a price that works for homeowner and adjuster.
• Support project management teams in scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment by providing precise cost data.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software Xactimate.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly.
