What is Executive Manager Branch Operations - MMBL?

The Executive Manager, Branch Operations is responsible for managing regional banking operations, ensuring effective coordination with BSMs and reportees to meet operational goals. This role strengthens operational controls, implements banking policies, and drives efficiency through change plans. The manager identifies operational risks, ensures corrective actions are taken, and conducts regular onsite branch visits for reviews. They monitor branch performance via BI reports, support BSMs in achieving goals, and ensure strict adherence to policies. Additionally, the manager tracks corrective actions from audits and SBP inspections.

What Executive Branch Operations - MMBL Does?

• Review, evaluate, and extend support for the implementation/revision of various operational policies.
• Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Branch Banking Operations for regular monitoring.
• Resource Planning, Capacity Building & Training: Ensure timely hiring and transfer of operational staff in consultation with BSMs/BMs, participate in the interview process, optimize staff development at branches, and conduct volume/capacity analysis to improve operational efficiencies and employee performance.
• Ensure timely reporting of incidents related to fraud, forgery, and operational loss.
• Set deterrents against fraud, forgeries, and operational losses in banking operations.
• Develop a compliance culture in branches and work with teams to achieve a branch environment that meets desired benchmarks for fraud prevention.
• Enforce compliance with Consumer Protection Guidelines & Regulations within branch banking operations.
• Ensure the implementation of Service Quality Guidelines across all branches.
• Supervise the area/branch operations team in resolving staff disputes and foster inter-functional harmony.
• Ensure good service quality ratings are maintained at branches.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Executive Manager Branch Operations - MMBL?

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 7 years in Branch Banking, with at least 3 years in the same role.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, audit processes, and banking products.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage incentive programs, and implement staff training.
• Knowledge of SBP policies, prudential regulations, and statutory laws.
• Experience with Alternate Delivery Channels (ADCs) and compliance mechanisms.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve complex problems, and work under pressure.
• Strong internal control, monitoring skills, and alignment with bank’s strategy.
• Proficient in report writing, business communication, and fraud mitigation.
• Adaptable to changes in technology, regulations, and internal controls.
