Experienced Clinical Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including digital imaging using advanced equipment like 3D scanners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Manage patient records efficiently using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting medical history, vital signs, and treatment details accurately
  • Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical documentation
  • Assist with medical imaging procedures and recordkeeping to ensure comprehensive patient care documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and team members

Qualifications

  • Minimum of TWO years as a chairside experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with a strong background in general dentistry.
  • YOU MUST HAVE
  • Familiarity with PMS systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
  • Experience supporting four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
  • Certification or training in vital signs measurement and basic medical imaging techniques is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
