Export Consultant

The Export Consultant will provide expert guidance in expanding the company’s international trade operations by identifying new markets, ensuring compliance with export regulations, and advising on strategies to increase global sales. This role involves working closely with management to improve export processes, documentation, and international customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise management on export strategies, policies, and global market opportunities.
  • Identify and recommend potential international markets, buyers, and distributors for company products.
  • Provide expertise in export regulations, trade compliance, and international documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, BL/AWB, etc.).
  • Guide the export team in handling customs clearance procedures and compliance with trade laws.
  • Support in negotiating contracts with international clients, agents, and distributors.
  • Advise on international pricing, payment terms (LC, TT, CAD), and risk management in export deals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis in global markets.
  • Assist in identifying and participating in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
  • Provide guidance on export packaging, product labeling, and quality compliance with international standards.
  • Support management in building relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and inspection companies.
  • Review export performance reports and suggest strategies for improvement.
  • Train and mentor staff in export procedures, compliance, and documentation accuracy.
  • Stay updated on global trade policies, tariffs, and free trade agreements (FTAs) relevant to company markets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate export documentation to avoid delays or penalties.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and international stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in export management, international trade, or consultancy (furniture/consumer goods/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
  • Proven track record in market entry strategies and expanding exports.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and trade portals.
  • Ability to work with international clients and multicultural environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
