We are seeking an experienced Family Assistant and Nanny to work with our family.
Location: Lake Nona (May-Summer 2026) → Belle Isle, FL (Starting Fall 2026)
Schedule: Full-time (Summer), transitioning to a flexible / split-shift schedule during the school year (with guaranteed minimum hours)
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
About Us:
We are a busy, loving family seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly organized Family Assistant and Nanny to provide exceptional care and support for our children while managing the daily operations of our home. Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in childcare, household management, and a passion for working in a family-centered environment. Safety, consistency, and a nurturing environment are our top priorities. We are looking for a long-term partner who can grow with our family as our needs evolve from summer into the school year.
We currently employ a second nanny, and the two of you will work together to ensure that all childcare and household management duties are covered. Responsibilities and duties will be shared between both nannies, allowing for teamwork and flexibility in the care of our children and management of the home.
The position is full time, but we can work with candidates who can work at least 30 hours per week. The schedule will include some evening hours (as one parent travels) and may include weekend, date night, or travel hours as mutually agreed.

- Assist with homework and reinforce learning (reading, early education, organization skills)
- Maintain consistent routines and positive behavior support
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children and support their dietary needs.
School-Year Support (Fall Transition)
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups (using family car - children will attend different schools)
- Assist in after-school schedules, activities, and transitions
- Be available for split shifts and occasional evening coverage during parent's work travel
Household & Family Assistance Duties:
- Organize and maintain the home, ensuring a tidy, functional living environment. Light household cleaning only (kitchen tidying, dishwasher loading/unloading, general organization).
- Manage laundry, including sorting, washing, folding, and organizing the family’s clothing.
- Run occasional errands (returns, groceries, basic household needs)
- Coordinate with external household staff, such as cleaners or contractors, as needed.
- Proactively support household systems (e.g., rotating household tasks like linens, organization)
Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as a point of contact for the family regarding daily logistics, children’s activities, and needs.
- Keep detailed records of children’s activities, milestones, and routines.
- Communicate with family members to ensure expectations are met.
- Collaborate with parents to create and maintain consistent parenting routines and discipline strategies.

- Average of two evenings needed per week during parent's travel (until ~8:00 PM) plus occasional date nights
- Adaptability for changing schedule needs during school year (while maintaining overall paid hours)
