Finance Manager

Karachi, Pakistan

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including payables, receivables, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain a chart of accounts suitable for both service and trading activities.
  • Manage fixed assets register and depreciation schedules.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with income tax, sales tax, and withholding tax regulations under FBR and provincial tax authorities.
  • File all statutory returns (monthly sales tax, withholding tax, annual income tax, etc.) within due dates.
  • Handle tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain compliance with Companies Act 2017 and SECP requirements (if applicable).

Budgeting, Costing & Analysis

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis for service operations and trading activities to improve margins.
  • Provide management reporting & KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor working capital (inventory, receivables, payables) and ensure liquidity.

Internal Controls & Systems

  • Develop and enforce internal controls, SOPs, and financial policies.
  • Ensure smooth operations of the ERP/
  • Lead process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow, bank facilities, and credit lines.
  • Liaise with banks for LCs, guarantees, trade finance, and foreign remittances.
  • Ensure efficient fund utilization and timely supplier/customer payments.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Pakistan tax laws, SECP regulations
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
