Intercargo Logistics is a fast paced, technologically based advanced logistics & supply chain solutions company dealing with air, sea and road freight services across all 7 continents. The job will be to support the UK head office's accounting operations.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified management level person with intuitive, intelligent, fast thinking, motivating, team leading skills with attention to detail to join and work with our talented teams around the world.

Your role as a Finance Manager will be to support the UK head office running a local finance team with duties such as but not limited to:

  • Month and end-year process including monthly P&L, BS, and CF preparation for group companies accounts
  • Implementing systems and controls/procedures in the finance function and the organization as approved by the management.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Managing the entire budgeting and reforecasting process. Setting up budget templates and circulating to each respective department after management approval. Taking ownership of the entire budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process and meeting deadlines
  • Managing the treasury function and setting up templates for forward looking cash forecast for the next six months
  • Preparing monthly management reports for senior management
  • Highlighting discrepancies in the system and suggesting cost saving methods
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Capital asset reconciliations and trust account statement reconciliations.
  • Fixed asset activity
  • Debt activity
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Provide recommendations
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Process quarterly VAT returns
  • Process local taxation and filing for Pakistan and the UK
  • Manage AR and AP teams through controls and processes
  • Implementation of Cargowise functionality at high end level for improvement processes and automation

Qualification and Skills Required

  • Must Be ACCA Affiliate/Member with minimum 5 Years of relevant experience of working with a fast paced organisation as a finance manager/head.
  • MUST be IT Literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft packages, outlook, word, excel etc.
  • Experience of ERP like SAP, Sage, MS Dynamics is PREFERRED but not required.
  • MUST have excellent English written and verbal skills (A must)
  • MUST be able to speak and communicate in English FLUENTLY.
  • MUST have great attention to detail
  • MUST have excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • MUST work and adhere to deadlines
  • Please note our office timings run from 12:30pm to 9:30pm in summers and 1:30pm to 10:30 pm is winters (according to UK timings)

Office is located at Gulberg Greens Interchange, Main Islamabad Highway, Islamabad.
