Site Foreman – Finishing & Carpentry

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman – Finishing & Carpentry to oversee, coordinate, and manage all on-site activities related to interior finishing, carpentry, and joinery works. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality finishes in line with project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpentry and finishing crews on site.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure finishing works (doors, cabinetry, moldings, wall paneling, ceilings, partitions, flooring, etc.) are completed to design specifications and quality standards.
• Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and storage for finishing and carpentry works.
• Allocate work to tradesmen and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Inspect work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site supervisors for smooth workflow.
• Report site progress, delays, issues, and workforce needs to the project manager.
• Maintain and enforce site cleanliness, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Identify design or construction issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in finishing and/or carpentry works.
• Proven experience with fit-out, joinery, woodwork, and finishing in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, installation techniques, and finishing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and local building regulations.
• Ability to manage a team under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Trade certification or diploma in carpentry, construction management, or related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Attention to detail and high standards for quality.
• Hands-on experience in carpentry or finishing.
• Computer skills for reporting and documentation (basic MS Office).
• Familiarity with project management software or apps is a plus.
