FREIGHT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Work Days: Monday to Friday (Night Shift)
• Work Hours: 06:00 PM to 03:00 AM
• Job Type: Full-time (Regular), On-site
• Location: Karachi (Gulistan e Jouhar)
• Stipend: Subject to the individual's soft skills and adaptability to night shift hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee shared mailboxes to manage and prioritize incoming shipment updates.
Maintain organized and up-to-date digital archives of shipping documents.
Provide timely responses to client and carrier requests for documentation or status updates.
Assist with the preparation of routine operational reports, including shipment trackers, pending document summaries, and ETA updates.

Data Management:
Accurately input and maintain shipment data in internal systems and spreadsheets.
Update container movements, ETAs, proof of deliveries (PODs), and delivery confirmations on a regular basis.

Tracking & Coordination:
Monitor in-transit shipments using carrier portals and internal tracking tools.
Identify and report any delays, exceptions, or discrepancies to the operations team for resolution.

Documentation Support:
Prepare, verify, and process key shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Pre Requisites :
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective written communication (especially email).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment (if needed).
Comfortable with spreadsheets, ms Excel, PDFs, and cloud-based file systems.
Candidates enrolled in or graduated from a Supply Chain discipline will be given priority.
